This 2-year training program is designed for beginning farmers who are ready to transition from incubator farming to launching an independent, small-scale market garden or farming venture. Seed and flower farms may also be considered. .
Eligibility Prior farming or extensive gardening experience required Completion of a farm apprenticeship or internship is recommended Must submit a solid marketing and business plan

Program Components
Farm Incubator Access: Small plots (1/16–1 acre) Weekly check-ins and technical assistance Advanced Opportunities: Larger plots available for experienced farmers
Training Includes: 4 Online Classes 11 Hands-On Farming Workshops 4 Local Farm Tours 40 Hours of Mentorship Annually No-Cost Use of Seven Seed Sowers Equipment Library
Resources Available: 1/16 – 5 acres of land per farm Cooler, greenhouse, and dry storage Tractor and implements Wash/pack facilities Water and irrigation system Access to markets and wholesale opportunities Introduction to value-added production Mentoring and technical assistance Ongoing training opportunities
Time Commitment:
Starting a farm requires dedication. Participants should expect to commit 20–30 hours per week during the growing season.
